Excitement is now building for the Chamber’s Race Night on Saturday 11th September at the Crown Hotel. All proceeds will go towards the Town’s Christmas lights, which are organised by the Chamber each year. Barbara Hill (chief organiser!) has done a great job with planning and preparations and it’s all systems go. All horses now have sponsors – so a big thank you to all who are supporting the event in that way.
Tickets are only £17.50 each and they include a 2-course supper and drinks voucher. So, if you are at a loose end this Saturday evening and want to pick up some last-minute tickets, they are available from Barbara at Cabello (01423-313303) or Sue/Laura at Issima (01423-325979). Non-members are very welcome.
Previous Race Nights have been very well supported and extremely enjoyable to boot, so with ticket sales buoyant we’re expecting a good turn out this time too. It’s wonderful to be able to get back together for events like this after all the time we’ve spent under restrictions. We look forward to seeing everyone on the night.
