The Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, announced in Parliament earlier today that a number of English regions would be moving up into higher Tiers, including North Yorkshire moving up to Tier 3. With the exception of the Isles of Scilly who remain in Tier 1, all other regions in England are in Tier 3 or Tier 4. This is particularly hard for our local Hospitality Sector which has suffered long and hard over the past few months as restrictions have been imposed, eased and toughened as the pandemic has fluctuated.
