From 1st April, North Yorkshire Council will replace the eight councils currently delivering public services across North Yorkshire. Over the next few months, they will be asking residents and businesses what local services are most important, how they would like to work with the new authority, and what they think the Authority should focus on to ensure they can best support communities.
The conversation has started with Let’s Talk… Local, looking at what’s important to people and businesses in their local ares, and what you think about the proposed community networks. Later in the autumn, they will be garnering views to help shape the budget for the council, as well as the proposed devolution deal for York and North Yorkshire.
How can you take part?
Teams from across North Yorkshire are visiting places like libraries and markets, to find out which local issues are most important. You can find out where your local conversations are taking place online. The visit to Boroughbridge Library is scheduled for today (14th October) but no times are given, which is not a good start! Let’s see if other visits are announced in due course. You can also share your views online if you’d prefer.
