The clear general election result, on 4 July, gives hope that political stability can lead to economic stability and recovery. Supporting the UK’s millions of small businesses and the self-employed will be essential to that. The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) is lobbying hard to stress to the Government that the first 100 days of their new administration is a golden opportunity to sow the seeds of small business growth. The FSB has put forward a menu of more than 150 specific measures that would help to make that happen in their Manifesto for small businesses and the self-employed.
