Following a recent visit to the High Street by Radio York (24th May) we are now looking forward to BBC TV Look North doing the same on Wednesday 2nd June to do a televised feature on our amazing, vibrant High Street. The Chamber had been in touch with the Beeb to counter the frequent TV reports of the demise of High Streets generally to suggest they should not tar all high streets with the same brush and they should visit one with plenty of buzz, with a high preponderance of locally-owned independent businesses – i.e. Boroughbridge. They have duly accepted that invitation and, subject to them not changing their plans at the last minute, we should see their reporter and camera crew on the High Street this coming Wednesday from approximately 10am onwards. Please spread the word so we can hopefully ensure plenty of positive vibes on the day and shown the Town in the best possible light.
